Out of Bounds Festival, FACOST in Houston, & PhilSA at Texas A&M
From August 30 to September 4, RTI travelled around Texas to perform at three different shows. We started off at the Out of Bounds Improv Festival which was an awesome experience. It was cool to see so many different groups from all over the country hanging out in Austin and performing. We had an 8pm show at The Hideout Theatre and played to a pretty full house. Elvin was even able to join us! Check out this little write up from the Austin Improv message boards:
Room to Improv (LA) put on some very energetic and entertaining shortform games (including the fastest do-do-run-run I've ever seen!). They had their shortform down, they were organized, tight, left no blank space in the show and kept the audience engaged. As a plus, they topped it off with a 15 minute musical about fudge-packing (real fudge, so don't be dirty).

RTI Blog-umentary
RTI busts out a musical at the Out of Bounds Festival. That’s Geg behind Anthony’s left hand!!
Then, it was onward to Houston where FACOST Youth presented us to perform at the Silverhouse Theatre. Before the show, we gave a workshop on improv to about thirty high school students and we loved it! We all had a great time. The
Big thanks to Shannon McCormick, Jeremy Lamb, and Michael D’Alonzo for having us over. Also much love to Ace and Phil for hooking up all the technical stuff in the booth. Lastly, mad props to all the folks that came out and watched the show!!

show was off the hook! It was so cool to see all our workshop students in the first couple of rows. We definitely felt a strong positive vibe from the audience that night as proceeds from the show went to the family of Jeanette Gonzalez, a 23 year old nursing student who was senselessly killed in a car jacking incident one week before the show. A big shout out to Anthony Guevara and Marc
Pedregosa for being instrumental in putting this all together. Thanks also to Ayn Brand, the law offices of Phan & Phan Associates, and Sinoolid Clothing Company for sponsoring the event.
Finally, PhilSA hosted our last show at Texas A&M. Mad love goes out to Joey Silva and Liezl Francisco for organizing the event and for treating us to some great grub at Fitzwilly’s Bar and Grill! It was great to hang out with many of you after the show. You guys ROCK!!
